GRIZAS Dyeing Alchemy

Here, at GRIZAS, the most personalised fashion is created. This time we would like to reveal our magical dyeing process that takes place exclusively here, under one roof, where all our clothes are cut and sewn.

First, we sew clothes according to the original patterns created by our designers. To add more unique features we rely on our dyeing technologists. Taking into account the needs of customers, the latest fashion trends and bringing personal inspiration, they create new colours every season.

For a more personalised look, we dye the sewn clothes in the colour selected by the customers individually. As we work with natural fabrics, each dyed product is unique, but if you order a set, we dye it together, so you can be sure that your set will be the same, even shade. Our colour magicians (aka technologists) extract shades in two different styles:

EXPLORING SHADES OF SPRING

This season we are dyeing garments in 14 amazing colours that you can discover in the precollection campaign. Lavender, cream grey, storm grey and sand beige shades are the ones that give clothing modern elegance and sophistication. You will not be mistaken in choosing clothes of these colouring for any occasion - both for a formal meeting and for a festive dinner.

Mint green, denim blue, cornflower and poppy red hues are so delicious and vibrant that with them you will be noticed everywhere. These remarkable colours reflect all the magic of the summer - sunlight, nature‘s greenery and summer parties by the bonfires.

OFF-DYE EFFECT

We are excited to present the new and authentic technique in which a special part of spring and summer garments are dyed. During this unique process, the garments are dyed and washed until they reveal an aged, yet clean, appearance. In this way, amazing vintage looks, characterised by high contrasts on seams and abraded areas are created.

This way of dyeing is used exceptionally for the Spring/Summer’23 Collection and will last just until the end of the season. The technique, originally started by GRIZAS, meets all ecological requirements which give our creation even greater satisfaction.

WASHED EFFECT

A similar but different technique we use to create a gentle discolouration is the washed effect. It's GRIZAS signature technique used for years which creates new surprisingly unique shades of colours and makes the garments one of a kind. The key to the authenticity of such garments is dyeing clothes by hand and one by one. Washed effect creation requires a lot of patience and concentration because we aim to dye every garment evenly yet uniquely. One of our technologists – Edith is a true master when we are talking about washed effect process. Calm, focused and attentive she is fully immersed in the ritual of dyeing sometimes without counting the minutes, but the results are divine.

And the magic doesn't end here. We are delighted that our customers continue to play with colours, exposing the most unexpected clothing combinations and thus inspiring us to continue creating.
